Proven Leadership: 30+ Years of Making a Difference

As a 5th generation organic cotton farmer and the co-founder and former CEO of Textile Exchange, LaRhea has focused her life’s work on driving meaningful change - where conventional agriculture moves towards preferred, organic, and regenerative fibers. She has engaged with farmers and brands alike in catalyzing action and is an advocate for more sustainable practices that deliver real beneficial impacts in the apparel and textile industry.

Shaping the Future of Agriculture

I believe in the power of education and strategic development to make a significant impact in the agriculture industry. It is through these key areas that we can promote regenerative farming, foster innovation, and ensure a brighter future for our families, communities, and planet. Join me as we explore the possibilities and forge a path toward a more regenerative and organic agricultural landscape for apparel and textiles.

Continuing the Shared Vision

Starting as a co-Founder of Organic Exchange alongside a few visionaries wanting to make a difference in their communities, to co-developing the present Climate+ strategy of Textile Exchange, LaRhea has been instrumental in laying the foundation for a regenerative future. Progress is being made, however, accelerated action will be the only way we are able to address critical issues before it is too late!!!

Now is the time to take bold action to ensure farms are a safe place for families to live and play, and to ultimately secure the future for our children and for generations to come. Contact me to discuss how you can be part of the solution.

2024 Shifting Gears: The Next Chapter

It is official – I am stepping into the next season of my life outside of Textile Exchange. My life’s work continues! This shift will allow me focused time on key areas that are near to my heart – empowering women and transitioning agriculture to more regenerative and organic production systems.

It truly is about focused action that takes care of both people and planet! As a part of this shift, I will be joining Fashion Makes Change to both leverage and expand this program to empower women who are working in the fashion and textile industry as well as working to scale proven solutions.

Serving on the CottonConnect and Regenerative Organic Alliance Board of Directors will be a strong focus, as well as shifting into a Senior Advisor Role for Textile Exchange.
